OPERATIONS

Korab operates several exploration projects in Western Australia and the Northern Territory (see below) with potential for potash, rare earths, tin, copper, lead, zinc, nickel, phosphate rock, iron ore and several industrial metals including vanadium, titanium, wolfram, manganese and cobalt. Korab also operates two development projects in the Northern Territory where it aims to produce phosphate rock and magnesium metal.

Development
GeolSec Phosphate Operations (Northern Territory)
Phosphate rock project is located on a granted mining lease ML27362 just 30 minutes drive from Darwin suburbs. The project is being developed as a supplier of organic fertiliser by Korab's 100% owned subsidiary Geolsec Phosphate Operations P/L. Geolsec is planning to commence production of organic rock phosphate fertiliser within months from receiving all regulatory approvals.

Winchester magnesium (Northern Territory)
Winchester project is located next to GeolSec phosphate rock project just 30 minutes drive from suburbs of Darwin. Winchester is one of the highest grade magnesite deposits globally averaging 91% of MgCO3. The project has passed the bankable feasibility study and pilot plant testing stage and is ready to move into development stage. The project has 16.6 million tones of ore, which is sufficient for a 25 year mine life at a magnesium metal production target of 50,000 tones per annum and at a low operating cost.

Exploration
Batchelor and Green Alligator projects - NT
Batchelor And Green Alligator projects contain several large nickel/polymetallic anomalies within ultramafic unit. This unit extends over 14 km across both projects. These anomalies have been discovered in 2010 and are currently being drill tested. Early results suggest a large, well mineralised system. Ashburton Downs project - WA
Ashburton Downs is located near Parabardoo in the Ashburton Mineral Field in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Past exploration shows that target stratigraphies at Ashburton Downs have a potential to host potash, rare earths, detrital iron, copper and other base metals mineralisation. The area has recently received exploration attention from BHP, Rio and FMG with BHP and FMG applying for exploration ground adjoining Korab’s tenements and applications. (click here for diagram)

Tucker Creek project - WA
Tucker Creek project is located in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia, 25 km from West Coast Highway and 100 km from the coast. The area under exploration is prospective for copper, lead, zinc, gold and other minerals and has recently attracted interest from FMG and RIO (see diagram below). Korab has acquired past exploration data for the project area and evaluation of this data is nearing completion. Early results indicate significant potential for polymetallic deposits as well as potential for commercial quantities of other minerals. (click here for diagram)
